This site is aimed at solving the housing crisis via better market-rate solutions. This approach seeks to reduce builder costs and address other systemic issues without undermining quality of life for residents.
I've done substantial research and historically we simply had a lot more small spaces for rent than we have today. Since the end of World War II, we have torn down more than a million SROs and by 2000, average square footage for new housing had more than doubled while average household size shrank.
I believe there's a lot we can do about the current housing crisis and I believe we will get better results if we empower builders to solve it for a profit instead of talking like poor people need charity.

My mother was one generation removed from being German nobility. I have very high expectations though I've never had much money. I know a surprising amount about residential real estate, which helped me buy a house in my twenties with no money down. I negotiated for the seller to cover closing costs.
I'm perpetually appalled at the quality of inexpensive housing. I believe there has to be a better way and I think providing commercial real estate developers the right information is the way to get there.

You may be wondering "How much?" I would be thrilled if every successful project paid me $1000 for my writing.
The calculations on this site suggest America could readily absorb 10,000 of these projects.
10,000 x $1000 = $10 million dollars.
For a writer, that's some serious money. I think I'm worth a thousand dollars per project and this grows out of a LOT of formal education, self study, etc.
