Vision

My vision is that well-designed, small spaces that are very livable will become a norm and some people may rent or perhaps even purchase one as a vacation home while in the prime of life and then later they might sell their main house and transition to this small space as a familiar place they are comfortable retiring.

My vision is that it also works as a stable primary residence that remains viable even when circumstances change and money is tighter or one stops driving and gives up their car entirely or gets older and needs more prepared meal options to care for themselves.

I have fantasies of not only delivery meal options and eateries and grocery stores in walking distance or readily reached via public transit, but also quality, affordable lunch options in vending machines on the premises so that one could "go out for a bite" as a tiny little adventure and variety to their diet even when elderly, in frail health and with a limited budget.

My vision is this will be housing that allows people to be resilient in the face of normal life changes, able to bounce back from setbacks that currently are sometimes a permanent derail and enjoy long-term stability.

My vision as a former military wife is that this will be housing that is both friendly to footloose, mobile peoples and to longtime residents whose idea of adventure is something quieter.

Currently, mobile people are welcomed and supported IF they are sufficiently well-heeled -- aka "the Jet Set" -- and are otherwise met with suspicion and attempts to bar them to some degree from full participation in the community.

Settled peoples and mobile peoples have long been at war and except for the very wealthy who trend towards being mobile, the settled peoples are generally winning and mobile peoples are generally losing (and BOTH are currently suffering at the hands of the upper classes who own more than one home or who frequent AirBnB at the expense of the local housing market).

My vision is that this will be development that helps car-dependent and car-free peoples peaceably co-exist and put that war behind us as well.
